Digital marketing strategy, decided before the budget goes out.
Where you stand, who you serve and what winning looks like, agreed before the first campaign runs. For startups and scaleups that want a plan the numbers can hold to, not a deck that sits in a folder.
What a digital marketing strategy is
A digital marketing strategy is the set of decisions you make before spending: who you are trying to win, what you will say to them, which channels you will use, and how you will know it is working. It turns a goal like "grow revenue" into choices someone can act on.
A good strategy is short. It says no to more things than it says yes to, and every campaign, page and report that follows can be traced back to it.
- Not a long deck. If it cannot be explained on a page, it will not be followed.
- Not a list of every channel. Choosing where not to spend is half the value.
- Not fixed forever. It is a starting position that results are allowed to change.
- Not a branding exercise on its own. It ends in numbers you can measure.
Why it matters
Budget without direction leaks
Without agreed priorities, spend spreads thin across channels and tests, and nothing gets enough to work.
Teams pull in different directions
Sales, product and marketing each optimize for something different. A shared plan and shared KPIs line them up.
You learn faster
When every campaign starts from a clear hypothesis, results teach you something instead of just costing money.
Signs you need it
- You run several channels and cannot say which one matters most.
- Marketing decisions are made campaign by campaign, with no plan behind them.
- People in your company would describe your ideal customer differently.
- You report on many numbers but have not agreed which one decides success.
- You are about to commit a bigger budget and want to get it right first.
The questions every later decision answers to.
A strategy is only useful if it changes what you do next week. Each part ends in a decision you can act on.
Market and competitor analysis
Who you compete with for attention, what they promise, and where their message leaves room for yours.
Target audience definition
The customers worth winning first, described by what they need and how they buy, not by age and location alone.
Online KPI setting
The few numbers that show whether marketing is working, with targets agreed before money is spent.
Data-driven campaign setup
The first campaigns built from the plan and tracked from day one, so the strategy is tested in the market, not only on paper.

From questions to a plan you can run.
Strategy work is short and specific. It ends when there is a plan someone can execute.
- 1
Research
Your numbers, your customers and your market, read before anything is recommended.
- 2
Decide
Audience, positioning, channels and KPIs, chosen with you and written down in plain language.
- 3
Launch
The first campaigns go live from the plan, with tracking in place to judge them.
- 4
Review
Results read against the KPIs. What works gets more budget, what does not gets changed.
- You are about to spend on marketing and want to know where to start.
- You have tried several channels and cannot say which one works.
- Your team needs one plan everyone agrees on.
- You want a long report and no change in what you do.
- Budget and channels are already fixed and cannot move.

Before you ask.
Straight answers to what founders ask in the first call.
What do we get at the end?
A short written plan: who to target, what to say, which channels to start with, and the KPIs and targets that judge them. Then the first campaigns, if you want us to run them.
Do we need existing data?
No, but it helps. With data we start from what already sells. Without it we lean on market and competitor research, and set up tracking so the first campaigns produce data quickly.
Is strategy a separate project or part of ongoing work?
Either. Some clients take the plan and run it themselves. Others continue with us on performance marketing, so the plan and the execution stay in the same hands.
How is this different from an agency discovery phase?
It is done by the senior person who will run your account, not by a team that hands it over afterwards. The plan is written to be executed, not presented.
